Description

This shot was taken at the last summer on my mothers balcony. I have read that this kind of cacti only bloom at night. This one probably made an exception for me. Thanks for looking!

Wow This is beautiful I have a friend who grows only catcus He has one that blooms every summer not a night blooming one I bet he would love to see this...and am going to show it to him when he drops by...I thought at first it was some type of amaryliss or bromeliad... Absolutely stunning photo ofthis great flower. I once had this plant, but didn't know about the blooms and hadn't even noticed the buds. In the middle of the night I awoke to the most incredible perfume...the scent actually roused me out of sleep. I found the bloom that morning, 8or 9 inches long. Magnificent plant....they are pollenated at night by giant moths! Thanks for recalling these memories!
