Description

This image is dedicated to Ana, (Igolochka). She is a fantastic artist, and a very wonderful lady and friend. Ana is amazing, and creates the most beautiful computer art you have ever seen. The images she creates are wonderful, and her characters always have style. She adds a magical touch to her art, and you can see so much of her inner beauty in it. She has been a wonderful friend to me, and patient while I created this dedication to her. Ana described her family to me, and her lovely country of Russia. She has many fantastic memories, and it sounds like a truly magical place. It was my honor to do this dedication for this very special lady. Please take the time to visit her gallery, I promise it will be a pleasure. Thank you everyone for taking a look, I am grateful to all of you. Hugs, Dave Russian Tea Party (For Igolochka): When Ana was a little girl she lived in Vladivostok, Russia. She had many wonderful memories there. Her two best friends in all the world were Oksana and Vera, they were like sisters to Ana, and she loved them so much. They played lots of games while growing up, like (Hide And Seek) and (Dolls). Their favorite game was when they played house, and drank tea. Ana would ask her Mom for cakes and candies, and the girls would take food to their playhouse. Ana got her cups and saucers out every time her friends came over. They loved to pretend they were adults, in this way. Oksana's, small dog Bim was there also. He was having fun, and begging Ana for food. Ana's cat, Barsik sat in the chair, where he could have a better chance for food. Ana said she hasn't seen her friends in a long time, but cherished their memories together. This was my humble attempt to create one of those beautiful memories for a wonderful lady. This is so sweet. It reminds me of one of my favorite videos I have put away of my daughter Erin. She was about 3 and she had a little table that she would have tea parties on. So she had two friends over, and the little boys name was Aaron, and he kept eyeing one of Erins favorite stuffed animals. And I think she was afraid he would steal it, so in the video as I am taping she says to me in the cutest little voice "here will you take a this please" wanting me to hold the stuffed bear so her friend doesn't take it. Then the little boy drops his cup and accidently spills his 'tea' (koolaid) and she gives him this look of death, and slams down her tea' and says to him, you need to go home and see your mother. I haven't watched it in years but it brings me to tears laughing every time I do.. thanks for the memory, your work has a way of bringing out some wonderful memories.. Hope all is well with you~ and that you are getting some spring weather up your way... hugss. Erin is going to the senior prom with her boyfriend I should probably show him that tape and warn him of her little temper LOL

Good to know Ana is okay as I have written to her a few time but no reply. She is a lovely lady and we did share a common interest for the love of cats. As always Dave you bring back happy childhood memories and I remember doing the same things Ana did when I was a child. You did her proud Dave, another fabulous picture and story. Love and hugs Jane and furryfolk xxx

Dave, this is magical. I love the lighting in this. This scene has such a storybook feel to it. I love the play house and the little table, with all the food set out, and your posing always amazes me. The pouring and holding hand placements are so difficult to do and you did them wonderfully. You have captured the feeling of weight from the tray and the pot in their muscles. That is very very hard to recreate. The facial expressions are perfect. Even the flowers look like they could burst into song at any moment. Darling and beautiful. You have a definite style and niche going here. It is always a joy to experience your posts. Keep up the wonderful work in your gallery. And never stop being the sweet person you are. You are one of the kindest tender-hearted people out here. Do you ever miss a post? You should win an award for your compassion and all the hard work you do keeping up with others' galleries.

Hopefully we have all had halcyon days like these, when as children we emulate the better parts of what looks like life. Even now I have a tea shop, so I suppose I am still trying to create that dream for other people. A really nice picture here. Certainly evocative of wonderful days.

What marvelous memories .. brings back some of my own memories, too, from my childhood. I bet this struck a chord for many ladies here .. what fun tea parties were, what fun playing dress up was, what a sweet and innocent world that was, childhood, sigh. Such a beautiful render, such a wonderful story and dedication, and oh so beautifully illustrated! And most of all, such a wonderful surprise to see a post from you!

You've done a superb job, Dave, illustrating your friend's childhood memories with much acuteness and charm. This is a most delightful dedication, and God knows how much tea-breaks are cherished in the Anglo-Saxon world, though I was unaware it also meant a lot to the Russian people. Although tea was not part of my native culture, it has soon become an essential ingredient of my daily life, after emigrating to Ireland for a couple of years and frequently visiting Britain...
