I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/Â

Hehe - that's some serious balancing you've done there, my friend! You have a lot more patience than I do these days LOL! I absoluetely love the way you've topped the tallest sculpture with that skinny rock - for some reason that just makes the whole picture for me! Actually, I really like the lighting on this! Hope it all works out for you!

Great shot. Love the rocks and hang in there.

Just where do those rocks come from? You don't seem to have them laying around the yard. Are you some sort of villain hiding in our midst? Wait....Nefarious Dr. O! Uh Oh.

I'm prepared to forgive you for your slight bending of the truth - all those rocks are hanging from sky hooks, aren't they...? Excellent hobby and a super shot - I really like the arrangement and the lighting.

Sorry to hear of your difficulties, but very happy to see you are back to your "strange" hobbies again--of which this is a particularly fine example.

Nice work! Somebody in our neighborhood seems to share your hobby, based on what's on their lawn. Me, I'm not, um, balanced enough for that sort of thing.

An unusual and visually striking capture!!! Actually I think the lighting is just right and highlights the shapes of your sculptures perfectly! Definitely a fave for me!!!

Wonderfully figurative!

Michael, the light here is fantastic! It's pinging off of the stones so perfectly...so yes, it was a good sacrifice of the overall lighting in the end. Loving the small obelisk in particular. (I'm sorry you've had to deal with the housing chaos. Can only hope this after being cast as little more than innocent bystander in someone else's financial woes, that maybe you got a break on rent during the foreclosure period. Seems only fair really.) And, hoping the stones didn't require an extra UHaul trailer all their own. :)
