Description

My Muse is back. She has a special message tonight…. There are many here who are hurting tonight. Loss of friends and family is difficult and painful. Although they are in a better place, it leaves a hole in the lives of those still here, and we cannot help but feel emptiness in our lives. Tonight’s post is for Mike, Rose, Naomi, and all here who are hurting. Although the darkness is all around us at times, the light of a new day is always just around the corner. The light will come, and it will bring comfort and healing, in time. The light can be found in unexpected places, in unexpected people, and at unexpected times. We have only to embrace it when it comes. And it will come. As artists, we are bringers of light, whether we realize it or not. Our images, be they digital artwork in Poser, Daz, Photoshop or Vue, or a photograph, or a painting in oils, pencils, or pastels, will bring a smile to someone somewhere. Frequently someone we’ve never met, and never will. And yet, that one smile, that one moment of peace and tranquility, is a light; a light in someone’s life. If, for one fleeting moment, a light is kindled, it has made all the effort of creating that image a thing of worth beyond measurement. And someday, perhaps one day soon, all those tiny lights we have lighted will come together in one brilliant moment, and drive away the darkness and shadow that so often envelops an increasingly darkened world. Thank you, Adrie for letting me ‘borrow’ your muse for a while! Thank you to all my friends here on Rendo for all your kind support, all your comments, faves and ratings. I am honored and delighted to have you as my friends. Although we are scattered from one end of the planet to another, and speak many languages, we all speak a common tongue in our love for art, and our caring for each other. May you all find light. Additional credit: This cutie is Heavenly Demise, yet another G4 variant, available at DAZ. I got her for a song during the March Madness sale, thanks to Mike (mresty) keeping me informed about the sales! Thanks, buddy!! :-D

WOW!! Rod, this is SUPREME! Not just the render, but the writing as well. All of it is amazingly well composed. The image is absolutely gorgeous and your commentary is very thoughtful and gloriously written. I love the pretty flower you put into her hand and the way is seems to glow with light. Excellent work. That environment is wonderful too. Great work on this. When you wrote this, you had no idea that March 22nd marked the 23rd anniversary of my first wife's death. Nor did you know that the first anniversary of the death of a very close friend is approaching very soon, and yet you sent out this beautiful and touching message delivered by such a sweet little muse. THANK YOU for your kind thoughts to us all.

Hi Rod: I have read your words on several friends sites but this is first time I connect with you. You have an eloquent way of writing and you really put this one to the heart. You touch on the essence of the matter at hand, so thoughtfully, it could only come from a person who has walked this path and come out of it on the light side. Your words to artists is really moving and puts what we do into such a positive perspective. You take our works and give them meaning outside ourselves. You really help me at a special time as I am dealing with two very ailing parents and I often wonder what I am doing here at this site and is there any value to what I put out here. Thank you for giving me a spark of faith. As to your own work, this is especially gorgeous. You give her and her environment such a classic and elegant look that one would have to have faith in the words of her creator. Blessed Be Roxy

Yup, Rod...super render...and words. I admit I don't think often about a photo bringing a speck of light somewhere but from comments I realize that is true. Thanks for the reminder. It provides motivation for going out and looking for something a little special to capture every couple of days...and to then digifiddle with for presentation to all out fellow digital artists. Who knows what these things inspire? It is more than enough to know that they do bring a positive thought or an inspiration to get up and do something...other than sit and do nothing. To look outward instead of only inward. It is good to remember all those who are hurting. They need to know that they are not alone. Good job my friend.
