Description

On my way to a call in Overland Park, Kansas today, I rolled up behind this truck. I couldn't resist taking a shot (pardon the pun) through my dirty windshield (hence the bokeh effect). I can see where this would add a whole new aspect to the next company picnic. I'll have to run it past my manager. I work on copiers for a living, and I'll have to admit, setting up a couple old copiers at about 50 yards and shredding them with a .50cal Browning would put a smile on my face for at least a month. Then again, if I could get my hands on a nice Dillon for an hour or so...... At 3000 rounds a minute, I should be able to hit SOMETHING. I just hope ammo is included in the rental fee. On a more serious note, my posts and comments might be a bit spotty for a little while. My dad was admitted to the hospital today for colorectal bleeding. He's having some tests and a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. I don't think it's terribly serious bt at 91, things like this need to be looked into. I hope to be back to normal in a week or so. Thanks for looking; your comments and faves mean a lot!

Rod...this is a hoot. However, I do imagine you could rent a machinegun for the family picnic or office party in a few other states too...like Idaho, Wyoming and at least a dozen more I can think of...LOL. Glad you shot this truck and sign! Atta boy. Do hope your dad is OK.

Wow Rod...I wouldn't be surprised to see this catch on in New Hampshire...you know, we're the Live Free or Die state, LOL... Wow...so what I'm wondering is how much of a business does this company do? I mean...hmm...how many people are really going to have need to rent a machine gun?? The copier at 50 yards does sound nice though! I have a couple from the police dept. I work at that I could donate! Maybe a couple of computers too. Ah, the joys of working for municipal government. We're in such a budget crunch right now that the office supply account has been frozen. My stapler broke yesterday and now I have to wait until after July 1st to get a new one, so I don't think we'll be renting any machine guns soon, LOL!! But it IS rather scary that civilians can rent these...do words mentally ill gunman mean anything anymore??? Wow.... Thanks for sharing. It is certainly something you don't see every day!!! I hope things go well with your dad!!!

Rental guns??? We have gun shows every weekend in the lonestar state where you can buy this stuff. For full automatic you have to have a license, but they will sale AR's to anyone with a pulse. The last one I went to I saw a pot bellied redneck in the parking lot, putting the sling on his newly aquired AR15. That was a scary picture. But thnx for the posting, I'm taking that number down to keep handy for my next family reunion. The trucks LP is cool too. LOL

LOL! I think you're right about the "only in Kansas" thing. I looked this guy up on the web, and he's the only dealer on the list who doesn't show a last name or a location. You've really started something with this post, btw! I've been talking to our mutual friend in Kansas about this. Thanks for the entertainment! :P

Reminds me of a small shop I saw at night in a small town in northern Arizona, had a three part neon sign that kept flashing in order "Liquour, Handguns, Ammunition" - talk about your one stop shopping for a domestic dispute. Good luck to your Dad. These things are very scarey I know.

WOW! Oooh. Surreal! Gun rentals for good ol' 'Merican fun! WOW! Oooh! If this wasn't so hilarious an image it would scare the bejezus out of me...it is pretty scary after all, but a part of that could be due to my imagination; it's pretty vivid and I can see those annoying "morale booster corporate outings" taking a turn for the...um...interesting. This is bizarre! All that's needed is a "I Heart Jesus" or "Honk if you love the Lord" bumper stickers! Priceless!

50 States, I bet there are 50 tags saying "50CAL." When I saw the thumbnail I said, "WOW! I saw this last week!" But the one here (in Central Alabama) was from Idaho but on a black jeep. Which made me think, from the thumbnail, you had. lol I used the M82 Barret in the Army, a true, fire and forget rifle. "'Cause if you fired at it, you can forget it, it doesn't exist anymore." ;o)
