Namibia 2010 On our last day on the beach, we witnessed how a pelican attacked a gull! I shot this image just before the pelican swallowed the victim! *straight face* That is not entirely true but it does sound so much better than the real version of the story! LOL... We were simply feeding all the left over bait to the birds and the pelican and gull were going for the same piece! If you look carefully, you can see the bait (small fish) just in front of the gull! wysiwig - the gull won!!! LOL... They are so agile that the poor peli did not have a chance! It was great fun to watch though!!

The day when you posted it, I've been waiting for about 30 mins to see it opened, but the net just refused to show me the picture! That's an amazing capture, Carin... very good timing on this one!
