Description
A spectre is haunting Europe -- the spectre of communism. All the powers of old Europe
have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pope and Tsar, Metternich and
Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies.
[from the "Communist Manifesto" by Marx and Engels]
I know, that this vision of the Spectre in Budionnovka cap and with 7.62 mm Mosin Rifle is anachronistic [the Manifesto was written in 1848].
Mr. Marx and Mr. Engels would not imagine their Spectre this way... and I do not know if they would like it.

This is still a disturbing picture...very much like the grim reaper..by Ryder..I believe..very moving..and representing the dark side of human nature as revealed by the absence of facial features..

Thanks, Nancy. The Revolution has no face... or perhaps has millions.

The Wall may have fallen, but in many places the darkness still continues. Quite a moving expression of the human condition when there is no desire for human equality. Excellent!

A real shock... a shadow within shadows... and your work, for me, shows the terryfying side of the concept... of any concept...
