Description

I've been in a mood to experiment lately...rarely can I leave well enough alone :-) Remember the panorama I posted several days ago of Seattle? Here it is for another viewing. Click Here. The photo above was taken as a quick snap as my March 5th flight was crusing by downtown Seattle to enter the landing pattern for the airport. The points I've marked refer back to my panorama, A. Safeco Field B. Qwest Field C. Seattle's tallest building, The Columbia Center D. The Space Needle from the 1962 World's Fair This picture isn't real sharp but for those of you interested in Seattle, notice it faces Puget Sound [several islands and the Olympic Peninsula stand between the city and the Pacific Ocean further to the west][the top of the picture is west]. I took my aerial photo, opened it in Power Point, lettered it and saved the entire thing as a jpeg. Ok, now I've satisfied that itch! Bill:) "Lookout!" thumb_2039663.jpg

I'm always so fascinated by maps and aerial views; this is a bit of both! I just love trying to fit what I see into what I know from being on the ground level. Great work!

When one has an itch, it's best to scratch it. You've done some first-class scratching here, Bill! Nice aerial view of Seattle - thanks for the 'virtual' tour! LOL! I have an aerial shot of Downtown Chicago I took a few years ago - I really should post it sometime.

Sterling Power Point postwork in this fine aerial composition, Bill. Looks rather cold and a bit misty down there though. And, photos like this remind me of what pilots see at a briefing prior to a bombing run.

Excellent capture with the additions and that looks to be a very long bridge in the foreground.

I love the way you've labeled the buildings from your last shot. It gives a good perspective of the city. The hills don't look quite so steep from up in the air, do they? Really nice work!

Hey, clbsmiley pointed out your gallery to me. I've live here 35 years and never really got the "big picture" of these landmarks. Thanks for the new view.

Beautiful view and great Bill, but wasn't the Seattle World Fair in 1962?
