Description

Bill and I were chatting via sitemail about a comment I made about having an aerial view of Chicago. So, here it is, Bill, and all you Chicago fans in all its glory LOL! I had the good fortune to have a window seat when I flew into the Windy City a few years ago. I was delighted when we flew over downtown Chicago during the approach to O'Hare. Two iconic Chicago landmarks are visible; The Hancock Building in the foreground, and the Sears Tower (which I've learned has been renamed the Willis Tower). It's been a chaotic week, but things are calming down enough that I'm working on a few new Poser images. Stay tuned... ;-) As always, I really appreciate all your visits, comments, ratings, and faves!

Great shot Rod. Thanks a million. There are a handful of Renderositians, numbering between five and seven depending on the day in question, who met in Chicago last September and had the time of their lives taking pictures, walking endlessly, talking about every subject under the sun and eating Persian food at a restaurant called Reza's. This picture was requested by me on their behalf. Your picture captures much of the area they walked and talked through...only thing missing is a little on the north side. You sure had a seat on the proper side of the plane!!! Wow, the city IS flat:)

As one of those ninja photographers that amazing September weekend, I thank you for this shot. I walked along so much of that part of the city, along the lake, and yeah, to Reza's for Persian food. It was memorable and I can't wait to to it again.

Oh my gods! The lake looks so clean! The whole city looks so clean? Where's all the rust and more importantly, where are the clever rats? This is an amazing shot! I remember when I returned to the USA and flew into O'Hare airport on a plane bigger than anything with a right to remain airborne: we flew in over Lake Michigan and the city greeted me bare minutes before I had to de-plane and immerse myself into culture shock that still hasn't gone away...but that's a useless ramble for another day. Suffice it to say that this is an amazing photograph, truly amazing work of a city I have decided mixed feelings for. I was born in this city and I live in it now, but it's certainly not my home any more...not in a spiritual and emotional sense...but she sure has a pretty face and I'll always love her look. This is a marvelous capture.

Wow, what a great capture from the plane! Have only stopped in Chicago long enough to debark our plane at gate 13 and RUN through the airport to gate 32, arriving in time for the final boarding call for our plane to Hawaii. I don't recall much of O'Hare except that it was TRULY big, LOL...or maybe it just seemed that way because our gates were so far apart! So Chicago has a Hancock Tower also? Boston does too....

Well Rod, though I detest cities I must say this is a cool shot of one. I find it interesting how some of the buildings are black whereas most are the typical ugly gray/white. I was shocked by Chipka's comment that the lake looks clean. CLEAN? Where I come from a clean lake has no color, and one can see the bottom as deep as 40 feet. LOL. You gotta come to NH and camp with us buddy and see what a clean lake really looks like. LOL. Excellent capture, especially through a window! No motion blur.
