Description
Photographs and memories
All the love you gave to me
Somehow it just can't be true
That's all I've left of you
This is a photo of my Dad, who passed away a year ago April 1st. My mom sent me a copy of this photo in a Christmas package this year, and well it was the greatest gift she could have sent since I have missed him so much.
Also in the photo is James Cash Penney who was the founder of the JC Penney's department stores which he began in 1912 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. My father worked as a store manager for the company for 38 years. The first store my dad started at was located in Los Angeles, so on occasion he got to meet different celebrities, and among a few others, I can remember him sharing stories about Bob Eubanks for those that don't remember he was the host of the original Newlywed game show, and he was close in age to my dad, and they shared the same first name, as well as funny and charming personalities, he became a regular customer there and would only go to my dad for help, or as my dad put it to harass him, lol. It was always fun to hear his stories. I had this scanned and I added the framing. Notice the old camera case towards the front of the photo, I wonder what type of camera they used to take this photograph with back then . By the way my dad is the tall one on the left. Amazing how quickly a year passes, Dad I miss you ~
Thanks for your comments to my last post...and a Happy Easter weekend to everyone.

It is sad for sure but I think the words you put down say it all. As long as the photos and memories are to the happy side of the balance that is ultimately all that we can hope for.
