Description

I hear the horses' thunder down in the valley below I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon Waiting for the eastern glow Oh, the night is long, the beads of time pass slow! Tired eyes on the sunrise Waiting for the eastern glow The pain of war cannot exceed the woe of aftermath The drums will shake the castle wall The ring wraiths ride in black No comfort has the fire that lights a face so cold Oh, dance through the dark night! Sing to the morning light -Robert Plant    On Christmas Eve I posted a different version of this image which was richly textured using two or three dozen layers in Photoshop. A couple of people have asked me if they could see the original work without the texturing.  So, on the eve of a kindred holiday, I am making good on their request.    This is an M4 figure incorporating a custom crafted morph by Pixeluna based upon a pair of photographs.  Jenny will play it down as mere "tweak work" if I make too much of it, but I assure you, while this is certainly a romanticised portrayal, it is also as close to a self-portrait as pixels are likely to get.  It's even a little spooky to me sometimes to see this face looking back from the screen. To all who are celebrating this weekend, Happy Easter! Terry

This is an excellent image, Terry... kudos to you for your craftwork in composing a powerful, thoughtful self-portrait and to Pixeluna for her delicate touch in bringing our your personality as well as your features. Despite the snowy scene (implying cold), the skin of your character exudes a gritty, almost musty warmth, very masculine and filled with potency. This is a man for men. Well done.

It's nice to see an encore image of a gentleman who exudes a strong personality in one single render. He was one of the first morphs I made for M4. He's actually a great character to work on, and I'm so surprised at the end result of this morph. I guess, there's nothing better than to hear it straight from you, Terry, "it is also as close to a self-portrait as pixels are likely to get. It's even a little spooky to me sometimes to see this face looking back from the screen."
