Description
After reading promiselambs notes on how she does some of her postwork I reworked Dark Matter and thought I would post it seperatly. The differences are strong enough to make me rethink the way I am doing some of my postwork.

Now that can see the comparison (of the two), I agree this is a definite improvement...much, much better and sharper, also better contrast, good lighting! well done, BB

See your getting the hang of it ... to me a RAW photo out of the camera is like a canvas is to a painter. I look at the straight shot from the camera and make mental notes of all repairs first. then I look for what details do i want to bring forward and I go after those .. then color is last that I work on. when using dodge or burn tools leave the set in the mid-tone range or they tend to over cook the image. and I set the exposure at about 10% on both of them.. also when doing a highpass filter and a layer. dont make the mistake as into hoping one highpass filter is going to do the trick for the whole image.. make one to bring out lets say the knife handle .. and erase the rest of it.. then make a different one for the knife blade. and so on. before long you have a million layers and 4 hours in a image.. then people come along and ask what HDR program do you use lol I feel so insulted when I get asked that question.. because they think I can just take a image and click and there you have it lol
