Description
New cactus leaves,they start as little buds as you see. It will by the end of summer it will be as big as the leaf it now sits on. The red will turn into the spikes on the plant.

There is something very delicate - despite the thorns/spikes - on these babies, amazing, that they are pink to start with... fine macro pix BB

Super pics..I have got rid of most of my spiny cacti as my skin has become so thin with sun, steroids and age!

A beautiful cactus study and I learned something new today. Dana
