Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yeah, when I was 12 I liked to play in the ocean, too. Now? Not so much! LOL! I think it's gotten colder as I've gotten older. :P

This is what I call downright dedication and determination! Not for sissies, that's for sure! Anyway, terrific capture considering the circumstances, Marilyn! And remember to check out my Hibiscus, your fav flower.

I liked running on the beach years ago too. Used to run in the surf until one day I stepped in an underwater hole...pulled the ligaments around one ankle (swollen and sore for two weeks). Haven't run in the surf since. This man just hasn't had that experience yet...unfortunately, it is coming for him:) Excellent pic and story...like it.

I have yet to run along a beach, despite there being beaches here in Chicago. I love this image, its so personal, intimate, and mysterious all at once. There's something about runners that always captures my imagination and now I have to wonder about this one. What's his story? Great piece of work here, and I love the focus.
