My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Cool shot - so many angles and reflections. Nice work

Fantastic! Look at all those planes...I wouldn't want the job of keeping it handprint-free, though! Beautiful!

And we ate at the California Pizza Kitchen---how's that for irony????!! You know what else I remember about this particular dinner--after we were done, and took that warp core elevator down, we discovered the place was deserted and had a hell of a time finding our way out!! Hmmmm, a story for Chip, no doubt!! And yeah, wow, what a trip that was!!

I would have to have used the stairs or eaten alone. A marvellously confusing image!

Sounds like everyone had fun and great food! Aptly named section there! Somehow I hear the Chief Engineer saying, 'I've got to eject the Warp Core, Captain!'

Wonderful shot! :)

Before reading your comment I thought... Hmmm - I'm sure Tara had a field day with her camera in this place! Superb dear friend... everything about the image! :)

Ah, more from the legendary Chicago shoot. Man that sounds like a blast - what a wonderful way to spend time - good friends, good photography, good food. It looks like you have every shade of gold in the known universe in that shot, Tara. And the couple of blue accents from the signs really adds pop to this photo. Great shot!

Excellent shot!

The way you've captured this it does look as if it might disappear into a worm hole at any minute. Wonderful reflections and lighting.

What to say about this upload (Warp Core 7) after it has been so ably commented upon already? I could say something about the beautiful shades of golden color, the multiple reflections that lend a wonderful extra dimension and a just right POV or I could say, I just plain like this Tara-specialty, Light & Glass shot. By the way, you also might have titled this, "gravimetric field displacement manifold 7" (see I went and read the wiki on Warp Drive...what? Oh, of course there's a wiki on Warp Drive!) Nice work and a fine subject.

You know, I had no idea that there was a warp drive wiki, until I read Bill's comment! It figures, I found a Battlestar Galactica wiki too...but that's not too surprising. But anyway, onto this picture! WOW! WOW! WOW! I was too busy looking down the length of that thing to realize that you could look across at it too. Sometimes I wonder about myself. This is super-gorgeous! I love the reflections within reflections all suspended in translucent gold. I also love the feel of this photo: it brings back all of those warm memories, especially of the company. Too bad Kafka had decided to wander. He missed out, but oh well...at least he showed up again. I love this image, for itself, and for what memories it stirs up.

Complicated lighting in this one and it must have been tough to snap this beautiful capture. I agree with Denise. Dana
