Description

This Great Blue Heron came over my right shoulder - it was a snap and hope for the best. Herons are about 46 inches (117cm) long and a wingspan of 72 inches (183cm). Utterly outstanding clarity and contrast in this quick snap of the graceful and streamlined pterodactyl as it soars thru the sky, Dana! I never knew the Heron had a 6-foot wingspan. That is wide!
