Description

Captured 4/7/10, about one-third of a mile from my lackadaisical lair. A full view will be to your extreme liking. This is a zoom foto, and not a macro. The flower was relatively high on a bush, about 6ft from my lens, and virtually obstructed by the leaves. I took 116 pictures -- including repeats and some that were eventually trashed -- over a three day time span, of the many hibiscus growing on two giant bushes. I shot at varied time periods each morning for different POVs, sun angles and light and shadow effects. Not only were there many blooms to pick from, but also two separate varieties. Adios, amigos, thankx for coming by, and for any and all complmentary comments and favs.

This is excellent, Harry! The light coming though the petals and the stamen/ pistil/whatever, is beautiful! I love the strong curved shadow against the lit petals and the soft blush of color near the stem. Lovely folds and POV! I like the way it is nestled against the greenery. Gorgeous shot!
