Description
"Child birth is a beautiful thing!" She said angrily.
"No!" Joshua shot back. "It's not! I know, I had a front row seat to it! It was disgusting!" He shouted at the ceiling. "And my brother-in-law Joe came through that door about ten seconds after the deed was done. I think he was hiding out there in the passage!" Kirk then looked Mulk in the eyes. "He got one look at that mess on the bed, threw up and passed out!" They all laughed. Joshua turned to the girl next to him. "And Melee? I saw parts of my sister that I should never have seen. I was scarred for life, emotionally!" He said grinning.
Melee patted him on the head. "Oh, poor baby."
Monou Biss laughed. "I've got to agree with you. I've delivered all eight of my children. And it is disgusting." Then staring at Joshua, he went on. "Truly disgusting...but."
Kirk looked at him and nodded. Turning back to Peenk, he took her hand.
"But it was worth every minute of it!" He said. "When I held my nephew in my hands as he screamed his defiance at the universe, letting it know that he had arrived, that was the greatest moment of my life. I'd brought a life into the world. Whereas, my life since I was born has centered on defending life. Which means having to take life. Nothing else that I've done can come close." Joshua smiled at Peenk. "Not even recieving the Medal of Honor three times."
"Yes, yes!" Ano said, laughing. "You're the great hero Joshua Kirk. And you have suffered at the hands of your sister. Or at least some of her other body parts. Now get on with your story!"
Joshua sighed and continued once again.
"Well, I was in. And I was going to show everyone what we were capable of. That was my number two job at the academy in the first year. The first was to annoy my sister as much as possible. You see, she was in her first year also. And I was damn good at it too."
"Typical brother then." Ano cut in.
He nodded. "But what I didn't know was that some of the other students were mercilessly ragging my sister over me. I learned about it when Shion walked up to me and slapped me across the face. And it was not a tap. When she told me what was happening, I sought Julia in the mess hall, and in front of all there, told her how sorry I was for causing her so much trouble. And in Klingon I swore myself as her protector. I would beat down any enemy for her. I even swore I would deliver her babies." Everyone burst into laughter.
"Yeah. That one came back to bite me in the ass."
"Did you ever have to defend her?" Kinna asked.
"The very next day! I came across her in one of our classes as a cadet who was a year ahead of us was tearing into her. I jumped between them and told him he will face me in a duel after hours."
Mulk stared at Joshua. "They let the cadets duel?"
Joshua shook his head. "Only the Generals and Klingon exchange students. You can't let something fester beneath the surface with us. When we explode, it can be deadly. There were no weapons involved, though. It was just a hand to hand match. And there were two duels that day. I'll play them for you." He searched for a moment and brought up a still shot of two girls facing each other before a crowd of students and faculty. "This is how Generals fight."
They watched as the girls accellerated and went at each other. After ten seconds, it was over.
"That was short." Mulk said.
"Not to them!" Joshua told Mulk. "To them that was about a minute of one knock down, drag out fight. Now wait until you see my fight." Joshua said. "It lasted all of one second."

I was speaking from experience here. I was there when my step-daughter gave birth to her little girl. And puking and passing out is just what the girl's daddy did.
