Description

Repetition in various forms, captured 4/10/10, very early in the morning, about 1.7 miles from my recidivist residence. Check it out full size for better detail. Shots of a railway overpass crossing above our famed Imperial Highway, a street which runs east and west for miles and miles and miles. It is usually loaded with tons/tonnes of traffic during weekdays, but this being an early Saturday AM, very few vehicles on the road at that time. Purpose of the orange cones was because of street repair that day. Top three photos looking east, bottom one looking west. Bottom three shots depict the supports under the bridge/overpass, which were seriously earthquake-proofed after the deadly 1994 Northridge quake. beachzz has her pier pilings, and I have my overpass supports. Arreviderci, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

I like the line of palms, they look amazingly alike in size and frond growth! And as far as the supports, the troll in me applauds... well done!

I moved right before that earthquake but I still remember it well, and my dad sent me lots of photos of the area, the Northridge mall, and hospitals in the area that were damaged and of course the damage they had to their house. But i had experienced others while living there.. nice photos. love the palm trees.

I really like all the rows, columns, cones and trees! I remember the Northridge quake well, friends who live there or near there told of it and of course it was all over the news. Having lived most of my life in Washington state I am all too familiar with all kinds of shakes and rolling. The last big quake in the Seattle area did a fair amount of damage and I was sitting in an office chair with rollers when it hit, had to hold onto the desk to keep from rolling around the room, sounded like a freight train coming directly at the bulding and the walls literally looked like they liquefied. I don't miss that here in New York, lol! Excellent shots and collage Harry!
