Description

And there's certainly no Yellow Brick Road anywhere around here, not that I've seen anyway, but you just have to love those Poppies! Please ZOOM for full details! A pair of shots taken some time last year. These California Poppies grow wild all over the place, but rarely have I seen colours like these. And contrary to suggestion (I will not say by whom to protect the guilty...er...innocent) I did NOT pick them! This is just one cluster of them that was growing in a long time vacant lot in San Simeon just a block from our condo. Oddly, this lot used to be the home to a gas station years ago, but it's been vacant for between 10 and 15 years. And it doesn't look like it's going to be rented any time soon around there...at least not with the restrictions on the water lists. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments on "On The Wind". HOPEFULLY I'll manage to get back to my render work soon. I'm about a third of the way through my content disks and still working on it. Dedicated to two wonderful artists, you're both in my thoughts~ Photo (c) 2009 Twilight Productions

maybe the yellow dried up on that brick road, ya ever thought about that? LOL... so these are poppies, cool... the only thing I've heard about this plants is you can get high from them, but I can't say who told me, maybe it was the same person that picked these floweres, but then again, maybe not - lol
