Description
Storm water. In heavy rain, this can go from bone dry to a raging torrent in seconds, and has unfortunately claimed the lives of many 'urban explorers' over the years. I must admit that only 3 years ago, I joined a local group called 'The Cave Clan' and walked for approximately 10 miles underground at this exact spot. It was really fun and heaps cleaner down there than I imagined. The leader of our group was very experienced, and even shot off a few fireworks down there in the darkness. Don't try this at home folks.........and 'Never drain when it rains'.

Very interesting photo! Are you saying there is a cavern below this canal? How far below is it?

You walked UNDER that canal??? I guess I'll take your word that it was clean--but all I can envision are ugly, furry critters lurking about!!

Great story to go with the photo, and yes I'm sure many lives have been lost in flash floods!
