Description

I forget where I got the starfield and lunar texture map. If they're yours - thanks! If you're interested, here's the model to download in Truespace .cob format: http://rapidshare.com/files/375905130/NEO_PROBE_.COB.zip.html I haven't converted this one to Bryce format yet. Sorry. Oh - I should say - I got a bit carried away with subdividing the surfaces to make them look smooth. Consequently it's a very big file.

What a gorgeous piece of work! I love the crispness of it and the vacuum-clarity of the light! Great work all around and I love the sense of smoothness you went for! Fantastic!

I really like this model. It looks like something NASA could launch in 5 years. I had a look (especially the last 2 versions) at each stage of this ship. You really did a fantastic job on this, although I think that the lighting of moon and ship doesn't fit perfectly. You could move the main lightsource a little to the left, so shadows on the ship and the moon would fit I think. But hey, this is much more than I ever got out of truespace. Nevertheless I really love your ships. All of those. Thank you for sharing this to us. Nic.

That is an excellent spaceship. Beats the hell out of what the NASA engineers had been proposing, that phonebooth-looking thing. Of course, right now, due to the latest administration directives, we are out of business, and the Space Shuttle follow-on, Orion, has been reduced to a mere rescue pod. What you have here looks like it's ready to go to Mars.

Well the model is just perfect, if you want to give a go with some IBL lighting maybe could be so realistic

Really impressed by your work. Chris Foss was the grandmaster of SF art but you are in good company. Bravo!
