Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

Beautiful detail and color Dana. I had a Mimosa tree for several years in my backyard, but managed to kill it. Those beautiful blossoms become kind of messy, they bloom all summer long, at least my tree did!

I've never seen a blossom like this, but then I've never seen a lot of things, so it's no big deal on that particular level. I love the intense frailty of the pink strands and the way the color shifts so softly from white to pink without there being any kind of jarring transitional hiccup...the fact that you captured such details is quite spectacular too; I'd think the slightest breeze would have given you a pretty pink blur. This is quite stunning, superb work.

Wow, this looks very similar to our Lehua flower. Very nicely done. Thanks for the welcome home. It is good to be back. Aloha

I love these trees One beside my mom's house well now my house.... And when you put one close to your cheek its a soft feathery feel.... No fragrance....at least I can't smell one....but they are just so pretty and they remind me of a tropical tree as well Hugs Susan~
