Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh no, I knew one of our old friendly barns would be gone before long. But I am amazed that the dunes are gone!!! What power that stretch of ocean shows. Great up-date.

Quite an amazing contrast in these interesting shots, Marilyn. Do you mean to say that not only has the barn disappeared but also the grassy dunes? These pics must have been taken from two differnt POVs, because the photo on the left looks like the barn was on a grassy hill, whereas the one on the right is on the beach looking out toward the ocean.
