Description

Hi, friends! I hope you have a nice weekend! We here in Europe are living under an umbrella of vulcano ashes from Island today! Well, the sun is burning down under a deep blue sky, and we had to oil up against the sun even yet..... I imagined vulcano ash as something dark, black, brown or grey, but nothing happens like this! It´s a clear summer´s day without a cloud! Only a joke? We enjoyed...... This pano her shows the parts of the Oban harbour and the surrounding of Oban, a "surburban" scenery. Behind the house with the red roof (it´s a fish restaurant)is the ferry harbour and the railroad station situated. Pic was constructed by 4 single pics. I am a little bit sad that we couldn`t catch one of the ferries, leaving Oban to the isles..... And a music clip, of course, today a tribute to one of the leading Scottish rockbands of today, CAPERCAILLIE, what means "Heather Cock" The band CAPERCAILLIE was founded here in Oban in the early eighties as a school band at the OBAN HIGHSCHOOL and grew up as one of Scotland`s most influencial bands and pioneers of the gaelic language. This clip here shows CAPERCAILLIE at Glasgow, Old Fruit Market, and they perform an old, but well known gaelic fairy tale, "THE BOATMAN". It is a story of love which belongs over the death of the lovers, a very senimental story. I was very teased as I saw, how many people in the audience were singing it together with the band. Please listen to "FEAR A BHATA" the story of THE BOATMAN Copyright: tomtsotland; Thanks Please enjoy and have a fine weekend! Thanks for comments and looking in! billcody, Berlin
