My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Very beautiful and one of the reasons we're called the Evergreen State! Great shot! love the mist rising from the floor!

Very lovely 'natural' image.

I camped there once. It rained for 72 hours in a row, and I got so tired of the rain drumming on my head, even in a slicker and plastic trousers. My husband did point out that it says "Rain Forest" right in the place name. Pretty place, though! Some impressive slugs, too;)

excellent capture

Wonderful capture of how things really looked just a matter of 20-30 minutes before the sun sunk in the west depriving us of the best light for photography. Also glad you got this tree that had been blown down during some previous storm. What-A-Place, What-A-Photographer. :-D

14 feet of rain!! Woohoo! No wonder it's lush! A very beautiful pic. I shall make it a favourite and come back to the map etc.

You are assuming of course that I can read a map!!!!! Nah this is great, and even from the thumbnail, that tree leads my eye into the picture. Well done.

Man, that's a LOT Of rain, I can't complain about the piddly 40 inches or so we get here. This is gorgeous!!

We call that a windfall, a fallen tree. Wonderful picture and magic lighting.

Wow- this is just beautiful, Tara! I've always wanted to see Olympic - this makes me want to go there even more. Of course, with my luck with rainy vacations, I could just about guarantee my visit would result in at least 10 of those feet of rain LOL! This is seriously gorgeous!
MrsRatbag
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm still jealous....

Beautiful! I want to go :)

Excellent, but spooky, image in this cool capture. Walking through there blindfolded not recommended. And, a dinosaur could pop out of the background at any moment.

Wonderful capture and a great representation of that area. I spent a few days wandering around while waiting for a spot on the ferry to Victoria. Dana
