Description

I'm doing a series of these over-the-top child rearing pictures for another project. It's unfinished, but you get the general idea. So far, this is the only one that will make it past the censors here. They're all a little...how does one say...unrealistcally violent. Hysterically violent, I assure you, but ridiculously over the top. Lawyer disclaimer stuff: Do not hurt children.

You come back in ten minutes and there will be flower petals and a dead troll littering the floor. Ask the child what happened, and she'll blink and say "Nothing". Hey, I've babysat. The troll is toast.

I'm warming up to the DAZ Kids 4 models - didn't really like the look of them at first glance. I broke down and bought a small amount of clothes for them - lack of available clothing was always a problem for the previous generation of youngsters, so I avoided them. I don't want to walk anywhere near the area of child nudity. But these new DAZ kids are fairly fun to work with and look alright to me. Note to Poser users, though: The "Toddler" (a set of morphs that turns the Kid model into a slightly younger toddler) doesn't work in Poser. It's for DAZ only. There's some of the typically ridiculous forum bashing going back and forth about "Poser is broken" and "No, DAZ just doesn't care about making the new stuff for Poser", etc. etc. etc. But think of it like this...Poser is standard, DAZ is metric, and stuff doesn't always work right between them. That's basically the gist of it. If you try the Toddler in Poser, you'll get some annoying scaling problems, particularly with the head. Not a big deal to me, but evidently there's some fights breaking out over it on the internet. I did get the Kids 4++ morphs. And personally, I'm a little disappointed in them. There's a whole lot of facial morphs, but that's about it. No fancy body morphs, no creature morphs, nothin'. Pretty much just facial morphs. So people are starting to get in there and make some coding changes so that the V4 and M4 morphs will all work with the new Kids figures. Would have been nice if DAZ had already done that. It takes some knowledge and trickery to get that to work, from what I gather. And I'm not a coder. Anyway, I'm not much into the whole "doe-eyed childlike innocence" rendering scene, so I don't have much use for the kid models as they were intended. I'd rather do weird stuff instead.

I agree with lwperkins...the troll is toast! Never underestimate the ingenuity, inventiveness, and incredible energy of kids!
