Description
A little tribute to three of my favourite SF franchises (I'd have loved to fit Firefly in as well, but having Jayne Cobb dangling from the ceiling would have been silly).
This is my first public showing of a PP2010 image. I've spent a few weeks reading the wisdom of Bagginsbill and experimenting with ambient lighting (softboxes), IDL and gamma correction.
There isn't a single Poser light in this scene. Bill's environment hemisphere provides the base lighting, there's a large softbox off scene to the right, and a single 'flourescent panel' visible in screen.
Aside from the credit below, the Star Trek uniform is from Poserworld, the light sabre and phaser are Vanishing Point freebies, and the cylon centurions are from ShareCG (Yes, they're new-style cylons. I like them better. But I had the old 1978 version of Galactica playing on the studio TV while I made the image. So there.) V4, M4, V4 Treadz and M4 Hardcore all from DAZ.
Minor postwork to correct some IDL blotches. It still isn't perfect...
I rarely say this, because I figure people interested enough will click anyway, but in this case I really do recommend a full-size view.

Very cool idea and tribute. Great to see the old Cyclons still causing havoc in the universe,,, Excellent...

Very cool image. Let's see Trek and Wars whoop up on some Cylons. Oh yeah, larger view is much better.
Revelation-23
I like the newer Cylons too. Then again, I never really got into the original BSG or its second life. So... Star Detroyer vs. Enterprise vs. Base Star... who wins?

A great idea and an excellent implementation! You even added the moving red spot in the Cylons visor! Fantastic!
