Description

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said "Deep in the desert lies an enormous Hand. And near it, on the ground a sign which reads 'My name is Ronnie James Dio, King of Sings. Look upon my works, ye mighty and despair.' And all around the lone and level sands ROCK ON." Utter bastardisation of Shelley aside, I started this as a banner for a friend's website about heavy metal in the Middle East - more to show the kind of thing I could do, as I didn't have the website design details. Naturally, it doesn't fit, so I'll be doing a different image for the website. As I was finishing it came word of Dio's death, and this seems a fitting tribute, since it was Dio who popularised the horns as a metal symbol. The hand itself is Freak 4's, cut off at the elbow in Shade and exported to Vue. Texture is a standard Vue 8 displacement landscape. Ed the Head is M3 with the Mr Happy map and morphs (best zombie on the market). And most people will recognise DAZ's camel and camel tack. Sand and mountain textures are from Realms Art's desert terrains bundle over at Cornucopia.
