Description

Part of the inside of an old metal-strip, wooden gunwaled, double-ended row boat. At one time it was red on the inside and white on the outside. I like the pattern formed by the metal strips and the wooden braces. This boat was at Fort Worden, well into the sandy verge above the high tide line.

Ah, now that you've set the scene for the Olympic Peninsula trip, we get to see the artsy bits and pieces:) I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got too. This old rowboat has seen better days but you've dived right in and found its' most interesting parts. Well done! :*

Everything about this is perfect! The colors, the textures, the little tiny doodles that look as if snails have eaten at the wood...they're very faint! I love the lines in this as well and the angles. This is nothing short of brilliant!

Weathered but still intact. Wonderful textures. It reminds me of a better preserved version of Carin's boat in Namibia.

This is great. I've just been to see the story of Shackleton at the Imax and this immediatly reminded me of the James Caird.

FABULOUS image!..it shot me straight back into my teens spent on or in the water. Every winter Sunday was spent preparing and then repainting the boats.
