Description

Our camgrounds at Fort Worden State Park. The bluff is known as Artillery Hill. Had it been windy, the hill would have provided a nice windbreak against ocean breezes. The Rental RV (Recreational Vehicle) in the lower left image was our home away from home. Kind of thrilling to drive something 10 feet wide with the mirrors out and 30 feet long. These campsites are just off to the right/west of the beach in my last post, "This is an Army Post?" (See directly below) Bill:) "This is an Army Post?" thumb_2048496.jpg

Well good morning, are you still there now? I can imagine you waking up to coffee and taking a morning walk on the beach what a beautiful place. You are making me homesick for the west coast, but then we have had two earthquakes in my town here the last two days, the one last night was small but it jolted my daughter Erin out of bed. And she asked what was that and I said it was another earthquake its starting to feel like California here in Tennessee lol.. really enjoying your series

The veiw is a great way to wake up. Or go to bed. :-) I'm looking at an RV purchase in the next few years - perhaps a little shorter than this one though. Not sure I could maneuver one this long!

Wonderful place!! I know the discomfort when you rent a motorhome and the renter gives you the keys and says goodbye, and you're in front of a trailer as big as a bus. My first time was in LA, year 1979. Finally, since you couldn't spend a month contemplating The Monster, I said 'OK, I'll try!" Just me and another guy(out of 6 that we were), we had enough guts to try :-D!!

Looks like you're campin' in style, there, Bill! Wow - what a place to wake up. Beautiful spot, and great photos! I'll bet that RV is interesting to maneuver through traffic. I'd like to get a RoadTrek RV someday - it's built on a Chevy van chassis, and would be awesome for two people. And not nearly as challenging to dodge all the fools in city traffic LOL!
