Description

Happy Earth Day!!! Here in Tennessee the earth has been moving a bit on us, we've experienced two earthquakes in the last 2 days centered in the town that I live in. I grew up out west in California so I am use to the ground occasionally shaking but my daughter Erin is 17 and we moved here when she was just 7 months old so this is new to her. It jolted us both out of bed the other morning around 5:30 am I thought a tree had fallen on my house, and when Erin came and asked me what was that I said I am not sure but I think it was an earthquake, she grabbed the cat and jumped on the couch and they got under a blanket. And then she turned on CNN she's hung around me too long.. lol I hope everyone is well. And a big hug to you all for your generous comments to my 400th image that I did for you all. Thanks~~ thumb_2047158.jpg

Beautiful Shot, Love that colorful flower. I know a little about unexpected earthquakes because we had a couple of small ones here in Texas about a year ago. I think it was caused by drilling for natural gas. Oh, yes I loved that old song LOL.

I could use some sunshine~ It's been raining the last couple of days, but I have to admit, I do not mind so much. The hot California weather is sure to be right around the corner :P This is a nice bright image... and bees always add a nice touch!

And covered in pollen. Looks like it is praying. Wonderful image. Earthquakes are just the Earth's reminder that she needs attention.

C'mon, earthquakes in seismic activity-free Tennessee? Gimme a break! That's west coast stuff. LOL on the CNN thing. I usually turn on the radio when we get a quake. Stellar soft effects in this image of the bizzy bee negotiating its way around the lovely flower, Lynell.

Bumblebee and sunflower; it doesn't get much sunnier than that! I experienced quite a few really rockin' earthquakes in California in the 60's. It's fun to see the reaction of people in this area to the cute little earthquakes we have here.

Gorgeous shot! I didn't hear about your earthquake. What is going on? I think the earth is trying to tell us something. Glad you are ok! I don't think I could get used to earthquakes although I manage to live with the hurricanes here in S. Florida. Happy Earth Day to you too.

Tell her I'd be nervous as well...we've only had very tiny shakes before here in Maine...if you blinked you missed it but to the folks who had felt them...it shook us up. Beautiful post here.

I love the title of this beautiful capture with the lovely reflections. We have a number of earthquakes here too so I know how spooky they can be. I'm glad these two weren't big ones.
