Description

The Crimson Shade is a super hero I made up a few years ago. He's the fourth in a line of heroes to carry the name since his great grandfather donned the identity during WWII to fight Nazi occultist spies plotting to destroy the U.S. from within. His grandfather fought Soviet spies backed by the same sinister cult during the Cold War, and his mother fought them when they took over a major corporation in the early 21st Century. All of them were called the Crimson Shade. And all of them died wearing the mask. Now, in the middle of the 21st Century, a familiar cult has arisen, this time fueling hatred and intolerance and trying to tear society apart from within. But he doesn't want to be the Crimson Shade, and he certainly doesn't want to die doing it, nor does he want his unborn son to carry this family curse to the next generation. So not only must he fight an enemy that is as dangerous and conniving as ever in a future that no longer believes in heroes, but he must also discover what mystical connection to this group required the death of all those who went before him, and break that connection before it's too late.
