Prince Dranalas was an imposing figure from the day I met him at age 13. More than his royal title and obvious position within the students at Dragodrome, respect and admiration did he command of his own. He was not vain or self-absorbed as some might say. Nor was he haughty and superior as I had feared. His father’s blood was obvious in him, and those of us who already had a sense of dragons could hear his dragon heart beating. His power, perhaps, came from such a heart.

As a grown man, some nine years later, I say he is even more imposing. He has a long path yet before him; to be accepted into the ranks of his grandfather King Mythras Dranalas, the great General Darius Falcone, the golden Lady Aurrianna fen Tanthalus, and Kelson Thrymson, the first of the Gemmed Dragonmasters. There is little doubt that will be his fate. His dedication to King and church are unwavering, his virtue and courage unquestioned. He has taken the oath of the church of Bahamut, which I record here;

”A Dragonmaster is sworn to valor,”

”his heart knows only virtue,”

”his blade defends the helpless,”

”his might upholds the weak,”

”his word speaks only truth,”

”his wrath undoes the wicked.”
