Description

This is the promised second cat picture. Probably the last pet photo for a while. Emma is a nearly four year old spayed female tortoise shell cat. She was stray as a baby and is a bit underdeveloped as a result. She's definitely a tiny thing and the most stubborn cat I've ever met. Full name: Magna Felis Minima Nickname :"the Bittens" Job Title: Junior Rodent Control Officer Actual Job: Smallest thing house, runs house. Kills mice strictly for fun. "Emma" was photographed under natural lighting with a handheld Canon EOS Rebel XSI using an EF 70-200mm Zoom Lens. I used a tight zoom at close range for extreme depth of field. Post processing in Photoshop included lens correction, some filtering and sharpening and cropping. This picture and the previous one of my cat Max were selected to act as complimentary portraits. I shot several hundred pictures of both Max and Emma one morning a couple of months ago and eventually winnowed the shots down to the two you see here. That's the great thing about digital photography - you can take a LOT of pictures. Thanks for looking. We will be returning to our regular schedule of rendered 3D Sci-Fi and fantasy images in the very near future!

She's a beauty. We had a cat years ago that looked a lot like Emma, and her name was Buffie. I love tortoiseshell cats. Excellent capture. Cats do run the world, just try to keep her away from the computer, though. ;c)

I'm sorry, she said to tell you all that she is NOT "underdeveloped" she is "petite."
