Description

On the way back to the car after a walk in the forest I sat down to get a view up the trunk of this dead tree. This is what I saw, a rainbow around the sun. It was partial, given the clouds in the sky as well. There must have been a lot of ice crystals up there in the sky, as there was no rain anywhere to be seen. I so wished to have my 24mm lens with me to get a wider view! This was the best I could do, Clive

Here in the US we call that phenom "Sun Dogs", I marvel every time I get to see one and consider myself extremely lucky to see a pair. Thanks for sharing yours. : )
