Description
I was at a big bbq yesterday. at lest 40 people showed up was looking forward to 65 people.
Here you see he just lit the charcoals to get them ready and hot here. He borrowed the pit from his brother who made the pit. The man you see is makeing one from a old propane tank. He putting it on a trailer too. The shop he works at have the stuff to cut the metal and weld too and his boss is helping him when it slow around the shop
I got to get a shot of the chicken cooking. sis not get it this time. oh well.

this pit is made from a 36 inch steel pipe. have a wood burner on one end and a oven you see the closest here to you so you can make bread or a pie. bet that taste good a smoke cherry pie?

OH ya ! now your talking my language. I love to cook and always have my smoker going, doing ribs,brisket, Boston butt ( for pulled pork ) etc.

My dream!! LOL I have a brinkman smoker/grill and I did a 13 pound brisket a week ago. Smoked it 10 hours and could have gone longer but I got so hungry smelling it cook, I had to get down to business... :-) I buy all my meat in bulk now from a meat warehouse so I always have big cuts and lots of it for summertime backyard BBQs. Love this long view of the pit and smoker.

My father asks me every day in Florida if I have ever had mullet once the BBQ's come out on the roadside. He finally got some blackeyed peas so may be mullet is on the menu eventually.
