Description

Hello everyone and thanks for looking... Recently I saw a picture posted by an outstanding Rendo artist named Sharyn, a.k.a .Artemis. and it impressed me, so I added it to my favorites. Here are links to some of her other pictures: Sanctuary, Melancholy, The Doorway In my comment I asked Sharyn where she got her reflective floors, and she site mailed me back saying that she made them herself in the Poser materials room. Sure enough, there's a button there marked "Add Reflection" that I'd never tried before. Needless to say, I gave it a try, and this picture is one of my first results. Of course this took all night to render, but I think it was worth it. How 'bout you? Thanks a bunch, Sharyn, this is pretty cool! I'm sure there's tons more info on how to set up the reflections in the tutorials, but if any of you know any tips or tricks on how this function works, I'd really appreciate you dropping me a line and letting me know how to do it. I'm amazed that such an impressive visual effect was only one button push away. Also, if this has been helpful to you and you use the add reflection in one of your pictures, let me know so I can check it out. Thanks, and have a great weekend, Tom Seaview123 Other credits: Yasmina character for V4 by ArtCollaborations @Daz3D Thiggity Thong freebie by FleshForge Versitile Skin Shaders (VSS) by BagginsBill

Thank you for the great tips, Tom and yes, I agree, Sharyn is one of the Poser gurus here who is always willing to share her knowledge anytime. I really like your creation, so nicely presented.

I never knew Poser had an Add Reflection button, I always set mine up the hard way. I don't imaging the setting results are very different between Daz and Poser, so on that note, you don't need high values for reflective surfaces, I rarely go above 35% as most surfaces aren't perfectly reflective, even mirrors. For things like floors, I set reflections low, 10% or even lower to keep it subtle.

That reflective floor looks terrific... and it doesn't even need to reveal more, because the girl in the middle has already revealed all... :) Great picture, nicely composed (and as you can see, some reflection can add some fine details to the whole composition!)
