Description

Fantastic title, yes? ;-D I think I remember this was taken in the town of H.C. Andersen. I took many shots there at that time. Have a wonderful day. Not so much sunshine as yesterday, but still it is warmer, than it has been for a long time. Thank you so much for viewing and kind commenting to my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

Quite amazing that cars are allowed down there! It is very picturesque, and the pantiled roofs are lovely.

Make me wonder if that road has ever been repaved? Hopefully it is a shortcut!

Such narrow streets.. I know they were made before cars, but horse and oxen carts would need more roomn than that to pass too. Thanks for sharing it Helle.

Might be hard to navigate in a large SUV... but I would trade that for the wonderful feeling it evokes!

I would not want to try to drive there! It's a wonderful scene that I would enjoy very much on foot. :)

If this is anything like the backstreets of Prague, then the cars are all owned by shop owners or people who live in apartments that are impossible to see from street level...it's like they're invisible or something! I love streets like this; they're so easy to wander around, especially if there's a bakery somewhere and you get that particular smell of cinnamon and dough in the air, only you can't find it! I love the light and the colors. I really like those exposed timbers on one of the buildings. This is marvelous! Perfect!

Helle, my time living in Europe was in Germany for three years in the late 1970s. I've been on many streets like this there. I loved every minute of it AND the week we spent in Denmark...camping on both coasts and never going to Coppenhagan:)With two little kids, the countryside was far more fun than any big city. This wonderful image brings back good memories.

They look like the houses in the eastern part of Holland and they are just beautiful.
