Description

This mural was taken along the greenway path where I go walking or bike riding, it is the effort of two cities to connect schools, parks and our library along walking and biking trails, they recently added a pedestrian bridge that connects over the lake to the library, and it is an area where I take a lot of my duck photos and where I see lots of blue heron and where I was lucky enough to capture a red shouldered hawk one afternoon. The mural is painted on the side of the farmers market, and I always love seeing it when I walk by, if you notice the girl in the mural is looking down into the Tennessee river. The mural is full of things about Tennessee that I love, historic sites, you can see a mill off to the left, of course a black bear which live up in the Smoky mountains which you see in the background of the mural. I hope you enjoy this glimpse along my walking trail. The mural below is one I posted a while back, it is above the trails and painted on the side of a restaurant that over looks the trails below. My daughter Erin is performing in her second high school play tonight, the first one she was only 6 at the time and my older daughter Jenna was performing in the play a Miracle on 34th street and they needed a couple younger children to help out so Erin was one that got chosen, it was more of a walk on part, walk on look cute lol. Tonight her drama class is putting on a Murder Mystery Dinner play, and she is very excited about this, she performs often with her orchestra but this is her first stage play performance. So I get to have dinner there and be entertained too, it should be a lot of fun. I will let you know the reviews tomorrow.. Have a wonderful night everyone. thumb_1751123.jpg

This really is a beautiful mural and how lovely to walk by it most days. I wish there were more on a lot of the ugly buildings around. Enjoy the murder mystery dinner.

Excellent photo. This must all be in tiles. I've seen art like this. Who ever did it had to have a lot of patience.

What a beautiful painting, and what a nice story there, Lynell. This valuable history, and environment in which you live. I think it is beautiful there.

A really cool mural. I've often wondered what the Tennessee River was like before most of it was flooded by the TVA dams. Hope your daughter enjoys her play, I remember being in my senior play as a wonderful experience.
