Published writer, neophyte artist, and always learning.
After working with Poser for the last 5 years, I've switched to Carrara. Even though I've had it for about 3 builds, the UI was too unfriendly and non-intuitive for me, until Poser 8 went whacky for me on my system. So I jumped in, read the forums and began to get back into deep learning mode.
Just scratching the surface, but having fun and trying new things. Lots of possibilities.

wow! it's great to see you posting again. i love the work you did on the room. it's very realistic. the boy's pose is very natural, which is hard with extreme expression. on the lighting: does Carrara have gamma correction? this looks like it needs gamma correction and some form of GI. and maybe for bed to cast shadows? anyway, the lighting is a lot less important than your composition. i love little details like the flying hangers and the basketball still in there.
