Description
There's something inherently scary about grandparents for little children. Perhaps it's the smell of decaying flesh still on the bone, or the musty, entombed world that is their home. Each room filled with historical treasures and odd little bits that shift and blur their shape in the darkness.
Based upon vague memories of staying overnight at my grandparents, sleeping in a room full of hunting trophies and odd paraphenalia.
I threw in a touch of Wood's American Gothic, and an older generation's fondness for the hot water bottle.

I remember when I started believing in vampires... yeap, vampires... When I was I kid My Grandma told me lets go to the basement so that you can help me with the laundry.... basements are scary.... she hid behind a mattress... when I started calling her she jumped out from behind it and had taken her false teeth out revealing her only 2 good teeth, her sharp teeth the ones that look like fangs... now today I know what happened, but back then well she was a vampire...

Well, I was never spooked by my grandparents (they were too sweet) but I can see why that would be the case for lots of kids. This is a very powerful render. Though the way granny zombie is holding that hot water bottle looks like she has something else in mind besides warming the bed and that would be REALLY scary for a little kid!

What about that bowl of mints that were all stuck together? That was creepy! Really cool idea and render.
