Description

Liz (Zil2008) and I were chatting the other night about our fur babies and she wanted to show me her new kids. I suggested that we post our shots to the site to show everyone our fur babies. So how about it gang.. anybody else want to show off your fur, feathers and fin babies... not to exclude herptiles or any other beloved critter sharing or who have shared your life. So I start off with my baby, Trina, or Trina del Ray as she is formally known to me. As you can see she is a gray tabby cat with soft medium length fur. She just had her 5th birthday a few weeks ago. Trina is a rescue kitty from a local humane society; I got her a few months after my beloved Pingo, my 19 year old Torty passed away. Unlike most house cats Trina loves water; she's my little tiger! She often insists on staying out during a rainshower and only the most severe thunderstorm will drive her inside. When my basement flooded a few years ago she had a grand old time running and sliding in the mess while I mopped up the place. She had her own private wading pool! When she was a kitten, when I took a shower, she would bat away at the curtain crying "let me in!" She's an outdoor kitty and is a determinded hunter, paying for her upkeep by keeping down the mice population who feast on my ample supply of bird seed. She also has an amazing ability to sit up on hind legs for long mintues at a time and she has become a great boxer! Her and I have spent many hours having boxing matches with her batting away at me as I try to touch her tummy! We both know the rules, is she bats my hand before I touch her that is a block and I have to pull the "punch." If I cheat and touch her anyways then the claws come out for the next hit, otherwise she hardly ever scratches me. If I touch her cleanly she gives a growl... like "you got me." She is so smart.

OH! She is BEAUTIFUL Roxy! We LOVE cats and have had many over the years. We don't have any right now and miss having a little fur ball around. We have 6 parrots of various kinds right now. Our cats, when we had them, were a bit afraid of the parrots even though none of the birds are very large. We also have a 3000 gallon koi pond in our back yard that I built myself and our koi are so friendly they eat from our hands. In fact, it was so warm today I got into the pond and had koi all around me demanding Cheerios. They love Cheerios. I have a photo of one of my koi I've been planning to upload for some time now. Perhaps tomorrow night will be a good time for it. Thanks for sharing this image of your lovely furred friend and the commentary too. It's nice to learn a little about the people we meet here at Rendo.

She is a beauty, and I have posted a few of my kitty Raskel in my gallery, even though she hates to sit still when I get out my camera.

Oh, Roxy! What a lovely little lady she is! And beautiful eyes too! I'll have to see if I can get Miz Star to sit still long enough for me to snap a pic of her for this delightful little challenge. I, too, would love to see if you can capture her boxing with you. Sounds adorable!

Well, that a cute furry buddy, there, Roxy! A cat that likes water - wow! She looks like a cool kitty! We don't have any pets other than the leather-winged demon from hell I keep chained up in the basement. He's a bit annoying at times, but he does keep the neighborhood kids out of the yard. LOL You kitty looks like she's saying 'her she comes with that darn box with the bright light on it again!'

Trina is a big, cuddly sweetie.  :-) She has beautiful facial markings and warm sage eyes. At present there are seven felines hanging out at this hacienda.  Hey, these times are hard on furry faces too, you take in how many you can. You can get a good look at the boss of the pride here. Cute idea, Roxy! Terry
