Description

Dear friends, please believe, we did our best to find a monster - but there was nothing! But we found a gorgeous nature - a mysterious lake and an immense cloud theatre at the sky. A photographer`s delight! Hope you enjoy it as we did! Enjoy and feel free to send comments! Seen at Urquhart Castle at 8th August 2009.... And another music clip of good old scottish traditional music: Let me introduce you to a CEILIDH: What can be better than sitting near the fireplace at a cold winter`s eve and make some "house music" with the friends? This tradition is very old in Scotland and lives on till today. They call it CEILIDH, in its celtic origin it means "Coming together", in modern terms is often seen as a dancing evening in a town hall, often for tourists. But its origin is meant a little bit more intimate as a being together with friends and comrades.... This music clip here creates the old ceilidh atmosphere: It shows Capercaillie lead singer KAREN MATHESON and a bundle of musicians perform some reels for the TV programme "Transatlantic Sessions Vol. 3" for BBC Scotland. It was on air in 2007. They perform 3 or 4 typical tunes, played in a row. The first tune is a so called "Waulking song", an old worksong sung by women, when they waulked and prepared the woolen Tweed stuff. This was very heavy hand work for women... The second tune is a so called "Puirt a Beul", a very fast sungen refrain, a scottish "Rap", translated as "Mouth Music" - and then plays the houseband an instrumental part.....and RONAN BROWNE`s uillean bagpipe roars as a siren of the firebrigade.... The musicians at this session came from Scotland, Ireland, England and the USA. The US-musicians gave the whole thing a little hillbilly atmosphere... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuW1bIHdEbU&feature=related copyright: devonfolk (Thanks, man!) Thanks for your interest and your time you are waisting in my gallery! Thanks for all of you who sent comments and a special THANKS for those who took pics as their favorites... Goodbye till this evening. My train is calling in one hour...

I've been there - to that same spot. It's a beautiful place. I also have movie footage of what might be evidence of a large creature disturbing the water.
