You too, my mother, read my rhymes For love of unforgotten times, And you may chance to hear once more The little feet along the floor. -Robert Louis Stevenson, 1913 A tender gift for delivering a smile to a friend, at a time when such gestures are dearly needed. This image was derived from a photograph; a favorite of mine. They actually are mother and daughter: Cali' and Sophie, two of the seven felines who currently share this leg of life's journey with me. The "painted" effect was produced in Photoshop utilizing the same method as in 'Portrait of a Muse'. These are default filters built up over a number of layers woven together through blend mode. The actual filters were Dry Brush, Paint Daubs and Underpainting. The canvas texture was produced with the Texturizer filter; scaling at about 95% with relief at 1.
