Description

Nobody stirred in the colony as the patrol ships flew overhead - as usual, the only activity was in the science labs in the twin towers and the security drone on the outskirts of the settlement... Vue 8.4 Inifinte, signature in Photoshop CS3. Thanks for popping in - please close the hatch, take off your cold weather gear and help yourself to coffee and breakfast. Craig. thumb_2051747.jpg

I wanna see the bio-reactor core in this not-exactly-cozy place! There's always activity in the bio-reactor core, even though all of it is on the cellular level, and probably stinks to high heaven, but hey, it's activity...lots of it...all of those cute, little, beneficial bacteria processing waste or those really smelly algae colonies providing edible biomass, oxygen, and an intriguing green color that can be used to paint the walls...but I digress. I love this scene. It has a bleakness to it, but also a pronounced industrial vibe--like something you'd actually see out on some remote outpost world at the fringes of known space. It also has a hyped-up/futuristic frontier town feel--a bit like the American Old West, only with a higher cumulative IQ and technology base. I love the pervasive blue, that glare of light in the lower right, and those looming towers. It's all so perfectly done, and I'd love to see as many snapshots of this world as you care to make. I'm intrigued. Great patrol ships too and that uber-photorealistic sky just pops and crackles, but hopefully NOT with hard radiation! In short, I love this piece and the wee little snippet of information that opens up an entire world of stories. Great work!
