Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive. All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

Cockatiels make terrific pets, as you probably already know. This is such a cool picture!!

LOL! Yup! That sounds like a cockatiel all right. LOL! They can be quite the little characters. He a cutie. Nice photo. We (my wife Esrestorfan & me) have 6 small parrots of various types. They definitely are messy and often noisy, but they are a lot of fun too. Thanks for sharing Mike.

Awwww, this is a wonderful picture!! I work at a police dept. here in NH and helped one of the officers rescue a cockatiel that could be a twin to JD. I fostered him here at home and ads were put in the paper, but no one claimed him. I think that the previous owner just let him go. One of the lieutenants named him Mr. Bird (VERY original)and he soon came to live in the records department. It was strange because my husband and I have had birds since 1995 and Mr. Bird did not like me from the start. The people at work had never had any experience with birds and were very leary of him, but I taught them how to get Bird to step up and pretty soon he had a bevy of fans. He talked quite a lot, asking 'what are you doing?', 'am I your little baby?' and he also whistled the theme from Bonanza, which, over time, drove the police chief to distraction, LOL. With the noise that these guys can emit, the chief finally said one day that he felt Mr. Bird needed another home. Fortunately one of the baliffs at the local district court has a cockatiel and offered to take Mr. Bird. It is working out wonderfully and we get daily updates about Mr. Bird and Randy sends videos...and Mr. Bird is already on his son's facebook in a video of him whistling Bonanza. He seems very happy and that makes us feel good...although the office is now a lot quieter without him...

Some Feathered friends like this are a trip to have around, almost like they're freaking human. I worked on a Seismic Crew in Senegal and The Gambia in 91 and a couple of us bought a pair of Senegalese Parots from a Street vendor in Banjul, they'd had their Wings Clipped so they couldn't fly away, not a good thing. Anyway we took them back to our Camp and they became our Mascots, ruled the camp, run around our makeshift Beer garden in the evenings mooching peanuts, popcorn and sips of Beer from everyone in turn, they were a trip.
