Description

I know I said I was hoping to have some photos to upload from the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but my card reader is not functioning properly and the resident computer expert is working too much ;) So, the Animal Park will have to wait. I went searching through a couple of files from last fall when I went to Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. I didn't find the photos I had in mind... I must have mis-filed them... Luckily I still have them saved on sd cards and a portable hard drive (?) ... I can access them later. I did find this one of the corn fields... it was very windy and about 41 degrees that day. Cold to a Southern California Girl! I post-worked this a little. My previous upload, "The Trees Along the Trail". Thanks for your comments and having a look. Have a wonderful day/night! Hugs, ~Melinda~

41 degrees? Balmy! But I'm from Chicago and when the temperatures hit 41 after a long and cold winter, it feels like a heat wave! And also being from Chicago--and traveling just outside of it, I recognize corn...miles and miles of corn, whole wind-swaying seas of corn, occasionally interrupted by seas of soybean, miles and miles of soybean...and in all of this, the tallest thing we see is a barn, or maybe a house. The land here is so flat you can iron on it! But enough of that. This is a marvelously colorful photograph, it seems spring-like for all of the green and hints of yellow and that's always a good thing. Great POV as well.

A field as corny as Kansas in August! 41-degree cool capture, with stark contrast between the landscape and sky, in this pic, Melinda.
