Description

Finally, a conclusion to the trip around the lighthouse, down the many steps, the view around Lake Superior and Split Rock. This is the trail we found to take back up instead of climbing all those steep steps :) I hope you enjoyed your little excursion. Thanks for looking. And my previous upload, "Split Rock Lighthouse", chosen for LWITG 16. I have had a great month Photographically :) Thanks so much for your support. Now that I am feeling better, I have a couple gb's of photos I took at the San Diego Wild Animal Park the day before my surgery, that I have yet to look at. I hope I got some good ones. The butterflies were amazing. I have never seen so many flying around. Have a great day~ Hugs, ~Melinda~

A plethora of tall, splindly white trunks soaring into the blue sky, in this fine foto, Melinda! Glad you're doing better after your surgery. It takes a while to recover. Also, what were the admission prices at the San Diego Zoo? Their website says around 37 bucks or so. Steep.

I like the way you captured that white bark! WOW! The verticals are quite nice too. In a way this reminds me of a really intriguing stage design for a challenging (and highly entertaining) play involving Samurai and women who turn into foxes with nine tails! Okay, I have no idea where that came from, but that's okay. And yeah, those are Birch trees, aren't they? Whatever they are, they stand out perfectly here, and I like the layers in this image...the white barked trees themselves, the lower, bushy foliage with feathery bits, and somewhere in the middle layers, the foliage of more distant trees. I love that sort of visual texture. It's well seen and captured. Nice!
