Description

This is another shot taken at the valley of the Giants in Oregon. The Siletz river runs through it. Thank you for all of your kind comments and encouragement. I am still very new to this, and I am so glad that I have found this community. It is great to see all of your amazing work, and there are so many friendly people here!

I'm with MIke, nothing like the babbling of brook or stream and even the rush or roar of the river

Hon, this is wonderful! The pov is perfect and your exposure was excellent giving the water a nice soft feeling while retaining the strength of it.

I just discovered your gallery, and I have to say that this is the perfect "introductory shot." I love the POV. I know you're standing on a nice, dry bank, but it actually looks as if you're a bit "dangerously close" to the water, if not in it a bit. I love it when a photograph plays with perception like that. As for the shot itself, it's really quite stunning. It has a rugged quality to it that I like, and the foamy water rushing through rapids is quite dramatic, offset nicely by the greenery. There's even a hint of mist in the air and that makes this nicely moody. In short, this is a great shot. I love the moss on the boulders.
